Our 2nd Annual Baby Shower was a resounding success, bringing in thousands of dollars in donations and an enormous amount of much-needed supplies to care for our wildlife patients.

“Each spring San Diegans bring thousands of abandoned or orphaned wildlife babies to our triage centers for care and medical treatment,” Project Wildlife Executive Director Lisa Culver said. “Our annual Baby Shower is a wonderful way to educate the public on what to do if they happen upon wildlife in need, and how they can contribute to our efforts.”

Nearly 500 people attended the shower and brought gifts for the wildlife babies. Shower attendees had the chance to view baby birds and mammals during behind-the-scenes tours and interact with our Animal Ambassadors. In addition, supporters were able to sample cuisine from the Cohn Restaurant Group’s mobile food truck “Ms. Patty Melt,” enter opportunity drawings for donated prizes and shop homemade arts and crafts.
